Tonya Brock
Branch Manager, Pomfret

Tonya L. Brock is Branch Manager of the Pomfret Office and an Officer of Putnam Bank. Ms. Brock joined Putnam Bank’s Main Office in 1998, where she started as a teller and has since held the positions of Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Supervisor and Assistant Branch Manager. She has worked in banking since 1996.

Ms. Brock attended the University of Connecticut, where she received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from The President’s Commission on the Status of Women. She has taken numerous classes with the Center of Financial Training, and has earned a Certificate in Customer Service. She most recently earned a Certificate in Supervision from Quinebaug Valley Community College, where she is currently working to complete an Associate’s Degree in Management.

Service to the community is very important to Ms. Brock, who was awarded the 2011 Putnam Bank Spirit Award. She currently serves as Vice President of Habitat for Humanity of NECT, as well as the Chair of the Chapter’s Family Selection/Services Committee. She is a founding member of the Theatre of Northeastern CT and 25 year performer, Director and volunteer at the Bradley Playhouse in Putnam. She is a member of the philanthropic singing group Voices, who have raised over $400,000 to date, benefitting numerous local charities. She is also a volunteer instructor for the Junior Achievement program, and a volunteer presenter for QVCCs annual Financial Symposium. – teaching students life skills like workplace readiness, conflict resolution, interviewing, and budgeting. She is a Certified Battered Women’s Counselor, a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross, and a supporter and past participant in American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, March of Dimes WalkAmerica and the Danskin Triathlon.

Ms. Brock is a native of Maine, but has lived in Connecticut for 32 years and currently resides in Pomfret with her husband, Greg, and two sons, Alex and Logan.
