Joseph J. Voccio recently joined the Putnam Bank staff in September, 2011, as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the bank through his nineteen years of experience with the Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation. He served as the Business Development Manager responsible for managing the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and previously held the positions as an Assistant Director of Loan Servicing and Senior Development Officer for lending and credit allocation. He also previously managed all Section 42 tax credit administration for Rhode Island.
Mr. Voccio received a B. S. in Marketing from Rhode Island College and an MBA in Finance from Bryant University. Active in community affairs in his hometown of Brooklyn, Mr. Voccio has served as Chairman of the Board of Finance, Chairman of Capital Budgeting Committee, and is presently on the Building Committee for renovation to the middle school. Mr. Voccio was formerly a bullpen catcher for the Pawtucket Red Sox, the AAA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. He was past host of SportsTalk on WINY 1350, and has had articles published in USA Today’s Baseball Weekly and the 2005 Pawtucket Red Sox Official Program.
