March 23, 2005: Putnam Savings Bank recently held its Annual Employee Awards Ceremony to recognize the achievements of its employees and to highlight the individual accomplishments of each department and branch office. President Bob Cocks presided over the Employee Awards announcements, which were selected from nominations made by the 90+ Putnam Savings Bank employees.
"One of our primary strengths at Putnam Savings Bank is our dedicated staff," said President Cocks. "The turnout for this event is always great. The enthusiasm and sense of pride our employees display towards each other and the Bank is very uplifting. Our Bank Service Awards gives us the opportunity each year to recognize those individuals who have gone 'above and beyond', both in service to our customers and the community."
The "Spirit of Putnam Savings Bank Award" was presented to Richard Moore, Commercial Loan Officer. Dick has been with the Bank since 2000 and was recognized by his peers as "truly embodying the Spirit of Putnam Savings Bank." His colleagues praised him for his role in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and his participation in many other charitable endeavors. Mr. Moore was also credited with "volunteering for pretty much everything." He serves as Treasurer of the Danielson Rotary Club and is in charge of finance for the Northeastern Connecticut Relay for Life Planning Committee.
The recipient of the Putnam Savings Bank "President's Award" was Laura Williams, Assistant Vice President/Deposit Operations Officer. Ms. Williams, who joined the Bank in 1984, is credited by her colleagues as "always upbeat and smiling with a high standard of dedication and caring." She was also recognized as being "extremely courteous and professional, as well as having been vital to the growth of the Bank." In addition to her responsibilities at the Bank, Laura participates in the WalkAmerica, Relay for Life and is very involved in youth recreational athletics in Putnam.
The Bank also recognized several employees for their years of dedicated service to the Bank and its customers.
