August 2, 2006: Putnam Savings Bank is proud to announce the following staff promotions and new hires:

Bridget Joiner has been promoted to the position of IRA Coordinator. Ms. Joiner has been with the Bank since 2004 as a Customer Service Representative. She is currently taking classes through the Center for Financial Training (CFT). Ms. Joiner, along with her husband and two children, make their home in Quinebaug.

Sandra Lisee has been promoted to Staff Accountant. Sandra has been in banking for over fourteen years and with Putnam Savings Bank since 1997. Ms. Lisee holds a General Financial Service Diploma and Customer Service Certificate through the Center for Financial Training. Sandra has also attended Quinebaug Valley Community College.She participates in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and is a member of the Day Kimball Hospital Women's Board. Ms Lisee and her husband reside in Canterbury.

Jessica Reed was promoted to Internet Banking Specialist. Ms. Reed began her career with Putnam Savings Bank in 2000. Since then she has held positions including Customer Service Representative, Training/IT Assistant, and Internet Banking Representative. Ms. Reed received her Associates Degree in Business Management from Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC).  Jessica volunteers as the Finance and Registration Chairperson for the Relay for Life. Ms. Reed also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, the March of Dimes WalkAmerica, and the American Diabetes Association. She and her husband reside in Putnam.

Elizabeth Shalvey has been promoted to the position of Customer Service Representative at the Main Office. Ms. Shalvey has been with the Bank since 2005. Elizabeth attended the Boston Business School. She has been a Girl Scout Leader for eight years in Hopkinton. Ms. Shalvey resides in North Grosvenordale.

Linda Bellavance was promoted to Senior Teller at the Main Office.  Ms. Bellevance has over fifteen years of banking experience and has been with Putnam Savings Bank since 2003. She has completed several courses towards a Professional Teller Certificate through the Center for Financial Training. Ms. Bellevance participates in the Relay for Life. She and her husband have five daughters and make their home in Moosup.

Shauna Baxter has been promoted to the position of Human Resources Assistant. Ms. Baxter began her career with the Bank in 2003 and has held various positions; most recently as Personnel Clerk. Shauna recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Nichols College. Along with a 3.6 GPA, Shauna graduated with magna cum laude honors. She served as Coordinator of the American Cancer Society Active for Life Program at Putnam Savings Bank. Ms. Baxter resides in Leicester, Massachusetts.

Patricia Chaput has been promoted to Electronic Banking Specialist II.  Ms. Chaput began her career with Putnam Savings Bank in 1992 and has worked in the Operations Department of the Bank for the last twelve years. Ms. Chaput has been a participant in the Relay for Life and WalkAmerica. Pat and her husband have two sons and make their home in Woodstock.

Nicholas Mainville was promoted to Customer Service Representative in the Griswold Office. Mr. Mainville began his career with the Bank in 2005 as a Teller at the Main Office. Nicholas has completed the Principles of Banking course through the Center for Financial Training and is a graduate of the Woodstock Academy. Nicholas participates in the Relay for Life and WalkAmerica. Mr. Mainville is a resident of Brooklyn.

Kimberley Bettencourt has been promoted to Head Teller at the Putnam Price Chopper Office. Ms. Bettencourt began her career with the Bank in 2005 as a Teller. Kimberley has completed the Principles of Banking and Fundamentals of Accounting through the Center for Financial Training.  Ms. Bettencourt has participated in the Relay for Life and WalkAmerica. Kimberley makes her home in Scotland.

Jennifer Hudock has been promoted to the position of Head Teller at the Griswold Branch. Ms. Hudock has been with the Bank since 2002. Jennifer received her Professional Teller Certificate from the Center for Financial Training in 2006. Ms. Hudock graduated from the Woodstock Academy. Jennifer participates in the Relay for Life and WalkAmerica. Ms. Hudock and her husband reside in Plainfield.

Katie Kovacik has been promoted to Operations Clerk II. Ms. Kovacik began her career with Putnam Savings Bank in 2000. Katie received her Associates Degree in Fine Arts from QVCC. Ms. Kovacik has completed a number of courses through the Center for Financial Training, and finished first in her Accounting class. Katie is active in the Relay for Life and WalkAmerica as well as serving as PSB's Team Captain for Putnam's annual downtown Holiday Light Parade. Ms. Kovacik makes her home in Woodstock.

Putnam Savings Bank would also like to welcome the following new members to their team: Jennifer White, Commercial Loan Officer; Phyllis Durand, Loan Clerk; Amanda Bottone, Accounting Clerk; Elizabeth Farnum, Operations Clerk; Briana Welch, Loan Processor; Richard Young, Courier; and Lindsay Moser, Summer Operations Clerk. Also joining the Main Office in Putnam are: Michelle DeMarco, Senior Teller; Mandy Orlowski, Teller; Megan Shockley, Teller; Jessica Smith, Floating Teller; and James Gladue, Teller.

The Griswold Office welcomes Teller Jennifer Chester.  Tellers Samantha Safford, Sandra Pellecchia, Jenna Laflamme are new to the Plainfield Office while Tellers Jessica Collette and Beth Girard have joined the Danielson Office.  The Gales Ferry Office welcomes Teller Marsha Garrison.

As a result of the acquisition of three branch offices from People's Bank, the following individuals became Putnam Savings Bank employees in October 2005. At the Griswold Office: Brenda Engel, Branch Manager/Officer; Carrie Szymanski, Assistant Branch Manager; and Sarah Lemery, Senior Teller. At the Gales Ferry Office: Virginia Kolodnicki, Branch Manager/Officer; Pamela Plourde, Assistant Branch Manager; Sharon Jarvis, Head Teller; and Denise Heuschneider and Suzanne Watters, Senior Tellers.
