Putnam Bank ‘Warm Your Neighbor’ Holiday Campaign
 Raises $2,000 for Area Fuel Banks

January 22, 2009: Putnam Bank has donated a total of $2,000 to local Fuel Banks, representing the result of its recent “Warm Your Neighbor” Holiday campaign. The Bank asked its customers to “warm their neighbors” by helping to support those struggling with heating costs this winter, and matched their donations dollar for dollar.

The customers of Putnam Bank donated a total of $1,000 during the month-long campaign, with an equal amount contributed by the Bank. The $2,000 contribution was divided into four $500 donations and given to local Fuel Banks for the direct benefit of residents in the areas served by the Bank. The funds were donated to the Danielson Access Agency, the Griswold Senior Center, the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group (TEEG) based in the Putnam area, and the Ledyard Inner Church Emergency Fund.

We are grateful to our customers for their support of our Holiday fundraising campaign, and for showing what holiday spirit is all about.”
