We’re working to help ensure your security - In an effort to better protect our customers and to reduce Debit/ATM card fraud Putnam Bank will block debit card transactions from being processed through ALL foreign countries.
What this means to you – We are asking you to call us when you plan to travel outside of the U.S. We’ll make sure you’re able to continue using your card without any problems by “Unblocking” the use of your card outside of the United States. Your card will be accessible in any foreign country while you are traveling.
Who to contact – Please call any one of our branches or use our Toll Free number at 1-800-377-4424 and speak to a customer service representative and tell them you are traveling outside of the United States and ask to have your card “Unblocked”. Please tell us the dates you will be traveling abroad and when you plan on returning to the USA.
