5/29/2020: Branch Lobbies Reopen June 1st

All Putnam Bank, a division of Centreville Bank branch lobbies will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, June 1st with additional safety measures in place for the protection of both our customers and our employees While we continue to encourage you to bank remotely when possible to minimize any risk of exposure, we ask that customers planning to conduct business in our lobbies please review the information below in order to be prepared when making their visit:

  1. Please Refrain from Lobby Banking If You Are Sick or Showing Any Symptoms of Sickness
    We ask that all customers remain considerate of others and refrain from visiting our lobbies if they are sick or showing any signs of sickness including a fever, cough or experiencing respiratory symptoms of any kind.
     
  2. We Are Limiting the Number of Customers Allowed Inside Our Lobbies at One Time
    We appreciate your patience as we limit the number of customers allowed in our lobbies at one time to allow for proper social distancing.
     
  3. Face Coverings Are Required In the Lobbies
    In accordance with current guidelines, we are requiring that all employees and customers wear some form of face covering when inside the building. Plexiglass shields have also been installed at all branch lobbies to provide additional protection.
     
  4. Hand Sanitizer Will Be Available at All Entrances
    All branches have been stocked with hand sanitizer for customers to use when entering the building. We are requesting that customers sanitize their hands when they rst walk in to help minimize the spread of germs in the lobbies.
     
  5. Please Practice Social Distancing When Inside
    Decals have been placed on the doors of all lobbies to clearly indicate where customers should stand if waiting for service. Please remain aware of the distance between yourself and others to ensure that we all can maintain proper social distancing.
     
  6. Branches May Have Separate Entrances and Exits
    Please note that some of our branch locations will have designated entrances and exits to manage the ow of foot traffic and minimize wait time for customers. For these branches, directional signage will be posted and staff will provide direction to customers upon entering and exiting the building.

5/21/2020: Customer Financial Relief

In recognition of the impact that our customers are experiencing or may experience, Putnam Bank, a division of Centreville Bank is implementing the following measures effective immediately to help ease financial burdens during this time.

Personal & Business Deposit Accounts

  • Fee waivers will be in effect for checking and savings accounts through June 30, 2020. Fees waived include:
  • Overdraft Fees (Insufficient Funds Charge and Unavailable Funds Charge)
  • Overdraft Protection Transfer Fees from deposit accounts
  • Overdraft Protection Transfer Fees from loans (Line of Credit)
  • Monthly Maintenance Service Charge for checking and savings accounts
  • Centreville Bank Foreign ATM Charges
  • Return Deposited Item Fees
  • Early Withdrawal Penalties on Personal Certificates of Deposit will be waived through June 30, 2020. Applies to aggregate withdrawals up to $25,000 only.
  • Debit Card Limits will be temporarily increased through June 30, 2020. Temporary daily limits for Debit/POS transactions will be $3,000 for consumers and $5,000 for businesses.

Residential Loans

  • Late charges will be waived through June 30, 2020 on Residential Mortgages, Home Equity Loans and Home Equity Lines of Credit that are not more than 30 days past due.
  • Loan modifications will be available. Customers can request a 90-day payment deferral and choose to continue to pay escrow or defer escrow payments until end of the 90-day period (which will result in an increased payment obligation). 4/14/2020: Economic Impact "Stimulus" Payments

We continue to monitor the latest developments on Coronavirus-related response and relief efforts that affect your financial health and well-being.

The federal government's Coronavirus economic relief package includes Economic Impact Payments, more commonly referred to as stimulus payments. (To find out if you're eligible, visit IRS.gov/coronavirus.) The first batch of payments are expected to arrive as early as this week.

If you're eligible, the IRS will either deposit the money directly into your bank account or send you a check. The payment method will be determined by how you received your 2019 federal tax refund (or your 2018 refund if you have not yet filed for 2019).

If your tax refund was direct deposited, your payment will be deposited to the same bank account as your refund. The first such direct deposits may credited by approximately April 15. Simply log into Online Services to see the deposit in your account.

If you received your refund by check, you can take the following steps:

  • When available in mid-April, visit the IRS's web-based portal at IRS.gov to enter your banking information. Doing so should speed up receipt of your payment. Be sure to have your Putnam Bank account number and routing number (211174220) available.
  • If you take no action, you will receive your payment by check through the mail. However, the U.S. Treasury indicates that payments made by check could arrive as late as August.

3/20/2020: Update All Branch Lobbies Closed

Effective Friday, March 20th, all lobbies are closed. Please visit the Drive-up or ATMs at any of our Locations.

3/13/2020: Important Notice from Putnam Bank

As your community bank, our hearts go out to those who have been affected in any way by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and well-being of our customers and employees is our primary concern. As the coronavirus continues to spread and impact our community we'd like to share some of the steps we've taken.

  • Instructed employees to wash hands regularly, and to stay home if they are sick, and to practice social distancing.
  • Distributed additional cleaning supplies such as hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to all of our locations.
  • Increased the frequency of regularly scheduled cleanings and sanitization efforts at all of our locations.
  • Established a plan to ensure the bank's ability to continue providing service to our customers. Please monitor our website and follow us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) for updates.
