Employee Of The Month

September - Tammy Chabot

Tammy Chabot was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for September 2018. Tammy has been with the bank since September 2007, and currently serves as  Executive Administrator. Tammy said, “I am honored and thrilled to be chosen for this award. I truly love being a part of such a great group of people." Tammy helps create the banks float for the Putnam Holiday Dazzle Light Parade, volunteers for PAWS Cat Shelter, and serves as Secretary for the Northeast CT Human Resources Association. She enjoys walking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Christopher, along with their family and friends.  “Tammy does a remarkable job for Putnam Bank. Her professionalism and the quality of her work is excellent, and she is a valuable member of our team. We all enjoy working with her." commented Thomas A. Borner, President and CEO of Putnam Bank.

August - Jonathan Demers

Jonathan Demers was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for August 2018. Jonathan has been with the bank since April 2004, and currently serves as a Floating CSR/Head Teller. Jon said, “I am at a loss for words. I am thankful that the people I work with think I should receive the nomination of Employee of the Month. It does take a team, so this is not mine alone. It goes to everyone." Jon is an actor at the Bradley Playhouse and The Little Theater on Broad Street. If he is not on stage, then he's part of the crew, or volunteering in the lobby. He is also a participant of Extra Life, a non-profit organization where thousands of gamers unite to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Jon supports the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford. Jon donates as much time, money, or both to local charitable organizations as possible. He said, “Why be in a community if you do not help?" “Jon exemplifies all that we expect from the best of our team members; work ethic, team spirit, and community engagement. I'm pleased that Jon is this month's recipient of this recognition" commented Thomas A. Borner, President and CEO of Putnam Bank..

July – Michelle Langlois

Michelle Langlois was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for July 2018. Michelle has been with the bank since October 2015. She currently serves as a Loan Processor. Michelle said, “I am humbled and honored to receive this award. I am grateful to work for Putnam Bank, a community-oriented, local business. It is a privilege to work with such a caring group of people in the Loan Center, and throughout the company." Michelle is involved in community events which include the Lion's Club Volleyball Challenge, O'Putnam Road Race, NECT Cancer Fund Walk & Race, Northeast Opportunities for Wellness Road Race & Walk, QVCC Tackle the Trail, and The Thompson Turkey Trot. She assists the Putnam Bank Pep Squad with team building events, and helped establish the PB Walking Club. Michelle is the President and an Interior trained Firefighter for the Quinebaug Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoys running, gardening, kayaking, and skiing. “Michelle is an important part of the fabric which makes Putnam Bank special, as a place to work and in the service of our customers. I'm proud of the contribution Michelle makes in both of these areas" commented Thomas A. Borner, President and CEO of Putnam Bank.

June - Jessica Reed

Jessica Reed was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for June 2018. Jessica began her career with the bank in December 2000. She left in 2008 to start a family, and returned to the bank in July 2012. Jessica currently serves as Online Banking Specialist & Marketing Associate. Jessica said, “I'm honored to be appreciated and recognized with this award. I get to work with an incredible group of people every day. I'm grateful to be part of the Putnam Bank family." Jessica is involved in community events which include the Putnam Elementary School Community Reading Day, Northeast Opportunities for Wellness Road Race & Walk, QVCC Tackle the Trail, and The Thompson Turkey Trot. She assists the Putnam Bank Pep Squad with team building events, and is an active member of the East Woodstock Congregational Church. Jessica enjoys knitting, reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their children, Noelia and Anthony. “Jess does a remarkable job at Putnam Bank and we are lucky to have her as part of our team. Her high energy is inspiring, and her work is excellent." commented Thomas A. Borner, President and CEO of Putnam Bank.

May - Vicki Kirkconnell

Vicki Kirkconnell was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for May 2018. Vicki has been with the bank since December 1997, and currently serves as a Senior Teller in our Pomfret Office.Vicki said, “I am very proud and honored to receive such an award. Also, grateful to be a part of the Putnam Bank team." Vicki is involved in community events which include American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Quinebaug Valley Regional Rotaract Club Trivia Night, Northeast Opportunities for Wellness Road Race & Walk. She loves serving her canine friends at the Pomfret drive-up window. Vicki resides in Dayville with her husband Randy, and their three fur babies.“I'm pleased to congratulate Vicki Kirkconnell our May Employee of the Month. Vicki has been a part of our team for 20 years and exemplifies the best in serving our customers. We appreciate her good work and cheerful demeanor. April - Jen Hudock

Jennifer Hudock was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for April 2018. Jen has been with the bank since September 2002, and currently serves as Compliance & BSA Manager.Jen said, “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and thanks to my co-workers for recognizing me as May's Employee of the Month. I am truly humbled and honored to receive it. I am so grateful to be part of a wonderful team." Jen is involved in community events which include Putnam's Holiday Dazzle Light Parade, Downtown Putnam Holiday Strolls Gingerbread House night, and Northeast Opportunities for Wellness (NOW) Road Race. She enjoys quilting and gardening, and exploring the outdoors with her family. Jen resides in Pomfret with her husband Mark and their children, Blake and Paxton.“Jen is an exemplary and valuable member of our Compliance team. Regulatory Compliance matters continue to become a critically important requirement in our banking environment. March - Katie Kovacik

Katie Kovacik was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for March 2018. Katie has been with the bank since November 2000, and currently serves as Senior Deposit Operations Clerk II.Katie said, “I am extremely humbled by this award. For all of the responsibilities that my co- workers and I share, all of us together, for me to be chosen? I will never be able to express how appreciative I am for being recognized this way."Katie's creative and artistic talents are demonstrated through the community events in which she's involved. She designs and constructs the scarecrow for the Annual Putnam Scarecrow Contest, assists with every aspect of the bank's float for the Putnam Holiday Dazzle Light Parade, and dresses up and hands out candy during the Downtown Putnam Trick-Or-Treat Street. She also manages and coordinates an employee snack box with the profits donated to various organizations throughout the community.“Katie's energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She has been an exemplary staff member for the last 17 years. This recognition is well deserved," commented Thomas A. Borner, President and CEO of Putnam Bank.

February - Rebecca Branch

Rebecca Branch was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for February 2018. Becca has been with the bank since September 2009, and currently serves as Floating CSR Supervisor.Becca said, “I am humbled to be chosen as the February Employee of the month. I believe when we approach one another with kindness and compassion, there is nothing we cannot accomplish together. We succeed together, in part, because we recognize the value of each person in the Putnam Bank family."Becca is involved in community events, which include Norwich Dragon Boat Racing, Family Fun Day at Dodd Stadium, Red Cross Blood Drive, and Natchaug River Young Marines 5K Color Fun Run. She also volunteers her time with organizations including Samaritan's Purse, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, and Voice of Evangelism.“Becca does excellent work for the bank and serves our customers well. We are fortunate to have Becca, and so many other talented staff members, at the bank. Becca makes the increasingly complex job of banking easier for all of us. She writes in her spare time, and received word recently that her most recent book, Perseverance – How it All Began, has been published and will be available on Amazon within the next few weeks," commented Thomas A. January - Billy Gallagher

Billy Gallagher was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Month for January 2018. Billy has been with the bank since August 2016, and serves as Commercial Lending Credit Analyst.Billy said, “I am extremely honored to be selected as Putnam Bank's employee of the month and am very fortunate to be a part of the Commercial Lending Department. While I appreciate the individual recognition, this could easily be a team award."Billy volunteers his time coaching local youth sports organizations including Brooklyn Little League, New England AAU Baseball, and the Killingly Parks & Recreation Department Basketball League. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife Michelle and their two children, Jackson and Avery.“Billy works efficiently and effectively in his underwriting position in the Commercial Credit Department. His work has helped to support the well managed growth in the commercial loan portfolio. Billy's service to the department, the bank, and to the community is greatly appreciated." commented Thomas Borner, Putnam Bank President & CEO.

2017 Employee of the Year - Alyson Davis

Putnam Bank recently held their annual Employee Awards Banquet to honor employees for their continued service to the bank, its customers, and the community. Alyson Davis was named Putnam Bank's Employee of the Year for 2017. Alyson has been with the bank since October 2001, and is currently the CSR Supervisor at the Main Office in Putnam. Alyson is an avid runner and active in the community having participated in the Walk & Run for NECT Cancer Fund, Northeast Opportunities for Wellness, Inc 3.5ish Mile Road Race, and Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation Tackle the Trail. She lives in Putnam with her sons, Elijah and CJ. “Aly is a highly competent, caring, and enthusiastic employee of Putnam Bank, and I'm not at all surprised that she received such glowing reviews from staff and customers alike. She excels in her position. She demonstrates excellent customer service and still finds the time to participate in community activities which is at the core of Putnam Bank's mission." stated Thomas Borner, Putnam Bank President & CEO.

Maggie Bond Retires
